Matching Scars

by Wing Shek

Three years ago the erosion of the cartilage in my knee joints was so bad the bones were almost touching. I was in constant pain, became less and less mobile, and unable to do the things that I love, like dancing. This year I had my second knee replacement at the age of 34 and, for the first time in a very long while, I have two working knees. I am forever grateful to the NHS and the doctors and nurses that gave me hope, new knees and my life back.
